In case you haven’t heard, this week is officially the Triad’s own craft beer week (June 19-25th). The week was a joint proclamation from the mayors of Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point with the goal to celebrate the growing craft beer scene here in our very own neighborhoods. The Triad Beer Week also leads up to the annual Summertime Brews Festival hosted at the Coliseum by the South End District’s Radio Stations (Rock 92 and 107.5 KZL). The event is celebrating its 12th year in Greensboro. The festivities; however, will be a little closer to the South End District on Friday night when the Summertime Brews Fest Pre-game party kicks off on East Lewis Street between S. Elm and Arlington. The festivities begin at 7PM and will include breweries, wineries, food trucks and music. The sounds of the evening will be provided by the bands, The Ends and Doby; the later having significant ties to the South End as one of it’s members is a resident and supporter of the District. The entire week should bring some attention to those breweries investing in the Triad and bring some great entertainment to the South End District on Friday. We really hope to see you down in the District for this exciting event.
